\"AnyCard\" status from KansasFest

Jeri Ellsworth’s new AnyCard (as her USB card is now known) made great strides at KFest this year, but is still not available for purchase.A small team of programmers has assembled to help write firmware and GS/OS drivers for the card. The AnyCard, when completed, will provide a USB port, VGA graphics support, an IDE bus, and a CompactFlash slot, and will work in any slotted Apple II. There is no release date announced at this time..

Syndicomm releases The Protector

Syndicomm has released its new NDA, The Protector, on the SheppyWare FTP site. This NDA lets you lock your Apple IIGS desktop so nobody can use it without a password. Bizarre incident brings down Syndicomm\’s server

The primary server at Syndicomm, which hosts among other things A2Central.com, Syndicomm Online, and the KFest web site, was brought down on Friday morning by a silly mistake, which unfortunately could not be corrected until Syndicomm owner and operator Eric Shepherd returned home from KansasFest on Monday afternoon. Syndicomm adds Softdisk Supreme to online store

Syndicomm’s online store now offers Softdisk Supreme, a complete collection of Softdisk magazine’s 166 issues (up to four 5.25" disk images apiece) on one CD-ROM.The CD is in hybrid Joliet and HFS format, so it will work on both the Mac and the PC, as well as on a real Apple IIGS computer. Syndicomm begins selling Spectrum Internet Suite 1.2
