Syndicomm extends its license for Softdisk products

Today Syndicomm anounced that today it reached an agreement with Softdisk, L.L.C. to extend its license to distribute the Softdisk, Softdisk G-S, and UpTime magazines on disk for a further three years.The newly-renewed license will expire on June 28, 2008; without the renewal, these products would have lapsed out of availability effective July 1, 2005.

Syndicomm sells individual back issues of Softdisk and Softdisk G-S, as well as CD-ROM compilations of all three magazine products, through its online store..

Apple II support in Semi-Virtual Disk nears completion

The Semi-Virtual Disk, a hardware interface that you can copy a disk image onto using a serial port on a PC, then use the SVD as if it were a floppy disk drive on your computer. The Apple II support is nearly complete; you can now boot software from the SVD, although you can’t yet write to the emulated disk. The SVD is available as a complete product for $110, or you can buy various combinations of parts to build one yourself..
