Service outage scheduled for upgrade
Our services will be unavailable tomorrow starting at about noon PST while we switch to our brand new server. The outage should last between one and two hours.
And on cometh a new server to bring light to the world…
Our new, vastly more powerful server will be arriving next Tuesday, and we intend to install it on Wednesday afternoon. Our services will be down for the duration of the installation process on that day; hopefully for no more than two or three hours. Once finished, our system should run up to 10-20 times faster than it does now.
Aurora Area Apple Core web site moves
The Aurora Area Apple Core user group’s web site has moved to its new home; they have volunteered to help test our new personal web site service. Their new URL is https://www.a2central.com/~a2.howard.
A2Central.com\’s net moves
We have moved to new IP addresses on a new, hopefully more reliable backbone.
A2Central.com movements
Our Internet service provider expects to move us to a new backbone late this week or early next, so there will be a brief outage when that occurs. We will try to let you know in advance when that will happen, assuming we get advance notice ourselves.
