A.P.P.L.E. to distribute GEOS with manual on CD-ROM
The A.P.P.L.E. user group will, in early September, begin selling a CD-ROM containing the recently-reclassified as freeware GEOS operating system as well as the manual in PDF format.
A.P.P.L.E. to meet on August 28th
The August meeting of the Apple Pugetsound Program Library Exchange will be held at 6:00 PM Pacific Time on August 28th. As usual, the meeting will be held online. One copy of the Golden Orchard CD-ROM will be given away at the meeting.
Apple II version of GEOS operating system now freeware
Breadbox Computer Company, the current owners of the GEOS software copyright, has reclassified GEOS as freeware and made it available for download as a zipped bundle of disk images. You can download this graphical operating system for 8-bit Apple II computers from their web site.
