P84Ever is an Apple II emulator written in Java and available as both an applet and a MIDlet for mobile phones. You can try out Mario Bros. or Snake right from the author’s web page. Steven Hugg’s Applelet is not available in compiled form, but you can download the source code from his site.
8BitBaby prototyping port ships
The 8BitBaby prototyping board, which has slot edge connectors for the Apple II, as well as for the Commodore 64, VIC-20, and C-16, C-116, and Plus-4 computers. The card costs just 7.90 Euro, which at the time of this announcement was about USD $9.40.
CiderPress v2.3.1 disk image utility released
Andy McFadden has updated his excellent Windows Apple II disk image and file utility, CiderPress, to version 2.3.1. The new version supports importing Applesoft BASIC programs from text files, resulting in a “BAS” file. Syndicomm reduces price of ORCA/M assembler
The Syndicomm Online Store has reduced the price of the ORCA/M assembler for the Apple IIgs to US $35. Syndicomm has run out of the original bound manuals and is now selling reformatted copies printed on 8.5?x11? three-hole-punched paper.

Princeton Apple Users Group to meet on December 9th
Join PAUG on Friday, December 9th, at the usual time in Dave Ciotti’s basement for the final meeting of the year! As is the tradition, the meeting will include a holiday party, so please bring along a cake or cookie dish to share with the members. Dave will supply soda, coffee, and apple cider. A number of Mac demos are planned, including Apple’s new Photo Booth program, Imaginator, Teleport, and ExhibitionX, but Apple II users are always welcome!
