We found a great post from Rich (aiiadict) on comp.sys.apple2 pointing to a Wired blog about David X. Cohen, co-creator of Futurama, being a former Apple II geek. Years ago, Cohen programmed a game he titled ‘Zoid’ that later became the inspiration for the name of Dr. Zoidberg, one of the characters from the TV program.
According to the Wired blog, Cohen would like to get his Zoid game up and running again. I’m sure there are plenty of capable Apple II hackers/Futurama fans out there that could get the job done. Now we know why Bender is “6502 Inside”.
