David Schmidt posted news of a new version of ADTPro via Usenet newsgroup comp.sys.apple2 (attached).
Thanks to the work of Rob Greene and John B. Matthews of AppleCommander fame for their implementation of the Shrinkit library, ADTPro can now interpret all manner of Shrinkit-compressed files: .shk, .sdk, and .bxy are all converted to an intermediate disk image for serving. This makes ShrinkIt-derived files essentially transparent to ADTPro.
Other improvements include understanding of DiskCopy 4.2 disk images and increased speediboot bootstrapping flexibility.
New functionality:
- [Server] ShrinkIt “SHK” and “BXY” files are converted to an appropriately sized disk image and served
- [Server] DiskCopy 4.2 disk images are recognized and dealt with as any other disk image
Bug fixes:
- [Client] Speediboot pauses ever longer, and bootstrapping downloads may be restarted with the escape key
