The Apple IIGS version of DiversiTune has been released as freeware by the author, Bill Basham, according to Lost Classics Project director Howard Katz. It should be available to download from the usual places within the next few days.

Lost Classics rescues DreamGrafix and DuelTris
The Lost Classics Project has obtained freeware releases for DreamGrafix and DuelTris from DreamWorld Software, according to Howard Katz. DreamGrafix is a paint program capable of working on 256-color and even 3200-color images, and DuelTris is a two-player Tetris-like game.
Silvern Castle 5.1 update now available
This anticipated update to the popular 8-bit role-playing game is now available, and can be downloaded from the Trenco Apple II archive at http://www.gno.org/pub/apple2/prodos/games/role.playing. The update fixes a few bugs and adds minor features.

Shareware Solutions II becomes exclusive distributor of Spectrum
According to the my eSource web site, Shareware Solutions II is now the exclusive distributor of the Spectrum telecommunications software for the Apple IIGS. Although the Shareware Solutions II Kagi payment site doesn’t list it yet, my eSource says to visit it to order online.

Silvern Castle now freeware
The role-playing game Silvern Castle, for 8-bit Apple II computers, is now freeware, according to author Jeff Fink. His decision to reclassify the software was made in light of a low number of shareware payments for the software. Read more about this development.
New ProSEL 8 Y2K fix available
Tony Diaz has released a minor ProSEL 8 update that fixes a cosmetic problem: ProSEL 8 didn’t realize that 2000 is a leap year, so dates after February 28, 2000 are off by one day. You can download the file here at a2central.com.
