Princeton Apple II Users Group to meet on August 12th

The Princeton Apple II Users Group will meet in David Ciotti’s basement at 7:30 PM on August 12. The meeting, which is open to Apple II users as always, will include demonstrations of gigabit ethernet and how to transfer home movies from film to VHS tape using a Macintosh. There will also be a demo of how to transfer LP records to CD.

Rudy Guy was a contributing editor to Nibble magazine and founder of the Erie Apple Crunchers user group. His website has downloadable Apple II software and a history of the club.

PodBrix to sell 300 Woz LEGO Minifigs

Tomi of PodBrix.com announced that on August 4th, 9:00pm EST, they will be selling hand-signed “Woz” Minifigs through their site. Update: The Woz Minifigs have since sold out.The “Woz” minifig will be limited to a 300 unit production run and comes with a pre-assembled LEGO® backdrop in the appropriate rainbow retro colors. The reverse of the backdrop displays the limited edition unit number and is signed by Tomi. Each minifig will sell for $24.99 USD.

PodBrix are artistic creations using LEGO building block toys. Some people consider them collectible.

It should be clarified, these minifigs are signed by Tomi, not Woz.

Silvern Castle 8.3 (Patched) available as disk image

Jeff Fink has provided us with a copy of Silvern Castle 8.3 (with the bug-fix patch installed) as a 1.5 MB disk image file, which you can use with most emulators. You can download it here free of charge.
