The SBACC will meet Tuesday, June 12. Tony Diaz will fly up, weather permitting, and demonstrate a wireless modem connection to the Syndicomm Online A2 chat room. This is what was scheduled for last month but was canceled when Tony couldn’t make it.

The Aurora Area Apple Core of Aurora, Illinois, will hold its next meeting on Thursday, June 14. This month’s meeting will focus on an AppleWorks demonstration.
Syndicomm starts more eBay auctions
Syndicomm has begun three new eBay auctions: a new in box 5.25-inch drive controller, a Print-It! printer card, and an early Super Serial Card in old-style packaging.
ProDOS filesystem driver for Linux released
There’s an alpha-quality ProDOS filesystem driver for Linux 2.4.x now available. It currently only supports reading, but the source is available under GPL.

Princeton, NJ user group to meet Friday, June 8

A2Central.com went online one year ago today, on June 4, 2000. We’ve come a long way since then, from raw upstart running on a spare BeBox under a desk to a popular Apple II site pulling down an average of 13,000 page views per month on a high-performance server and a popular forum on a new online service.
