The 2004 KansasFest event starts next Tuesday, and things are coming together nicely. Drafts of the schedule of sessions have begun appearing on the KansasFest mailing list. For a list of sessions scheduled so far, read on!Bruce Baker is hosting an AppleWorks Q&A session on Wednesday, followed by “Code Secrets of Wolfenstein 3D” hosted by Eric Shepherd. After dinner on Wednesday, Steve Weyhrich, noted Apple II historian, will give the keynote address. After the keynote, Syndicomm will host a pizza reception.
On Thursday, Geoff Weiss presents an hour-long session on Ethernet software development, followed by another hour on the KEGS Apple IIgs emulator. In the afternoon, Tony Diaz hosts an Apple II trivia challenge.
On Friday, Ken Gagne presents “Popular Apple II Games”, and in the afternoon, Steve Weyhrich presents “iTunes for Dummies” and a session on digital music. Friday night, the panel of distinguished (and indistinguished) guests roast David Miller, the system administrator of Syndicomm Online (and of A2Central.com).
Eric Shepherd is also presenting a session on writing Mac OS X software in Cocoa using Apple’s Xcode tools, but it isn’t scheduled yet.
There are still a few openings left on the schedule, so if you’d like to present something (we all have something we can teach!), offer to hold a session!
