Registration for the fifth NarraScope convention is now open.

NarraScope is an annual gaming conference focused especially on interactive fiction (i.e. text adventures) but encompassing all manner of narrative in computer and video games. Attendees include game writers, developers, and players.

This year’s event will be held June 21, 2024 5pm EDT to June 23, 2024 at 6pm EDT in Rochester, New York, USA, at the Strong National Museum of Play. The museum is a bastion of Apple II artifacts, including John Romero‘s first Apple II and Jordan Mechner‘s papers.

In-person tickets for NarraScope 2024 range from $35 (limited budget) to $95 (standard); attendees who wish to sponsor a limited-budget attendee can opt to pay more. Online-only attendance is $5 (limited budget) to $25. Tickets can be purchased from Eventbrite.

The event’s COVID policy requires face masks but not vaccinations.

NarraScope is hosted by the Interactive Fiction Technology Foundation (IFTF), a 501(c)(3) non-profit.

I’m going! See you there!
