In a post to his Patreon backers, Chris Torrence has outlined many new features to Apple2TS, his Web-based Apple II emulator written in TypeScript.

The emulator, which offers a predefined library of disk images, now includes recent game releases such as Colin Leroy-Mira’s Glider and a demo 8-bit Shack’s Kickstarter-funded UNDEAD RPG. Disk images can also now be loaded from Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, and the Internet Archive

Apple2TS can also now be run at additional MHz speeds, as well as in a “minimal” full-screen mode with less chrome/UI. Even more updates are listed in the post available to Patreon backers.

Many of these new features were produced by or in collaboration with project contributor Lawrence Sanchez. Additional changes, as well as bug reports and feature requests, can be submitted in GitHub.

Chris provided a behind-the-scenes look at the development of Apple2TS in Juiced.GS Volume 27, Issue 2 (June 2022). He’ll give another demo of Apple2TS at this summer’s virtual KansasFest.
