Ancestorworks 5 Version 2.0 Released as Freeware
Ancestorworks 5 version 2.0, a genealogy program that works within AppleWorks 5.1 (and only 5.1) for the Apple II, is now available as a freeware product. ProLine BBS Build 1.5 Now Available
This new update to the ProLine BBS software provides a CS update and Y2K fixes. ProLine is a popular, powerful bulletin board system package for the Apple II (//e, //c, and IIGS), and requires a modem, 80 column text, and 64K of RAM, plus a small hard disk. Read the announcement.

Apple II Oasis Updated to Version 2.4
Apple II Oasis, an Apple //e emulator for Windows, has been updated to version 2.4. The new version includes support for full-screen video and can emulate a joystick using the keyboard.
Silvern Castle 5.0 Released
Silvern Castle, the popular role-playing game for 8-bit Apple II computers released only a year ago at KFest ’99, has been updated to version 5.0! New in this version is the ability to turn off encumbrance and to restrict coinage to just gold pieces. Also, clerics can now identify items like druids, back-row characters have a lower chance of being hit during melee combat, NPCs may exchange information if they surrender, spellbooks and holy symbols can be dropped, and there’s been some fine-tuning to the monsters. A new expert scenario, “Time Master”, is included, but can only be played by registered owners.
