Apple I ‘Replica’ price drop
Vince Briel’s Replica, an Apple I clone, is now cheaper. The fully assembled version dropped $40 to $159, and the kit is now $119. His site also has a picture of the new revision C board.

The Serial I/O piggyback board can be used with an original Apple I or with Vince Briel’s Apple I replica. It makes it easy to save BASIC programs as text files and lets you interface with a PC or Macintosh. The price is $59.
Woz green-lights Apple 1 clone
Vince Briel, a computer technician in Ohio, has been working on an Apple 1 clone. The only problem was the ROM. Steve Wozniak, the designer of the machine, has now given him the go-ahead to use the original Apple 1 ROM in his clone.
